Public Safety

Whether it’s walking home after dark, calling 911 in a rural area, or driving on a notoriously dangerous highway, everyone deserves to feel protected. Public safety is about more than just response times.

It’s about trust, prevention, and making sure every neighborhood can thrive without fear.

Our district faces real challenges. Violent crime rates in Lancaster and Victorville are higher than the state average, Palmdale continues to struggle with property crime, and highways like 138 and U.S. 395 are infamous for deadly crashes. Meanwhile, rural communities often wait too long for fire and EMS services to arrive.

My plan blends accountability with investment.

I support smart policing strategies that target violent crime and drug trafficking while building trust between law enforcement and communities. I’ll champion investments in fire protection and emergency medical services for rural towns, as well as infrastructure upgrades such as better street lighting and widened roads that prevent accidents and crimes before they happen. Safety must be fair, effective, and rooted in community partnership. Anything less is unacceptable.
