Empowering Local Voices

Policy should never be dictated from a distant capital without input from the people who actually live here.

Too often, state and county leaders make decisions about housing, infrastructure, and resources without real consultation, leaving communities frustrated and ignored.

That’s why San Bernardino County residents backed a secession study out of sheer exasperation. It’s also why cities like Palmdale and Lancaster have resorted to raising local sales taxes to fund basic services.

People are tired of being left out of the conversation.

I’ll change that by bringing local voices directly to Sacramento. I’ll establish advisory councils across the district, hold regular town halls in every community, and insist that state agencies engage seriously with local leaders before making decisions. Local control isn’t about blocking statewide progress. It’s about shaping it together with transparency and fairness.
